Introducing Vuba Stone
Vuba Stone is a permeable surfacing system designed to be installed over existing structural bases such as concrete, asphalt, or VubaMac.

Topping System
The Topping System is a high-performance overlay designed to resurface and upgrade existing concrete or asphalt surfaces. When combined with our VubaMac base, it forms a monolithic bond and delivers a fully permeable surfacing solution. We offer three recommended application depths, each tailored for specific use: pedestrian areas, vehicles driving on and off, and areas with frequent turning or heavy-duty traffic.
Vuba Stone Application
The Vuba Stone topping comprises three essential components, 7 kg of Vuba World Resin, four bags of marble aggregates, and 5 kg of Binding Quartz. These are mixed thoroughly in a forced-action mixer before being applied onto the prepared base using either a hand trowel or power trowel.

Vuba World Resin 15.5lbs
This is a fully BBA-approved system when purchased with Vuba’s BBA-approved aggregate.

Vu4 x 55 lbs Marble Aggregatea World Resin 15.5lbs

Binding Quartz 11 lbs
Vuba binding quartz is translucent and has reduced absorbency. This reduces the ‘sandy’ and ‘matt’ finish associated with adding ‘sand’ to resin bound mixers.
Vuba binding quartz will provide added slip and skid resistance for driveways and increases the strength of a resin bound screed by 42% in tests carried out by Vuba in accordance with BS EN 12390 – 3: 2009.

Vuba Catalyst 200 ml
Vuba Catalyst is a diluted Dibutyltin Dilaurate, designed to speed up the curing process of two part polyurethane resin systems.
Vuba Catalyst should be used with un-catalysed resin bound kits. The addition rate depends upon the temperature – please consult our datasheet for advice on catalyst addition at different temperatures.
Using un-catalysed resin and Vuba Catalyst gives complete freedom to the experienced contractor to speed up and slow down the curing process to suit the project, the temperature and to reduce the risk of issues such as rain water damage.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Vuba Stone Topping System can be installed over concrete, asphalt, or our VubaMac permeable base layer. Recommended installation depths vary depending on the intended use: 3/8 inch for pedestrian areas, 5/8 inch for light vehicle access such as driveways, and 3/4 inch for areas with turning vehicles or frequent heavy traffic. These depths are designed to ensure long-term performance, durability, and surface integrity.
Vuba Stone can be applied in temperatures as low as 41°F (5°C) and even in conditions above 100°F (38°C). The system’s curing speed is affected by temperature, but you can adjust the reaction time by varying the amount of catalyst used. In colder weather, more catalyst is added to speed up curing, while in hotter conditions, less catalyst is needed to slow the reaction so you have a longer working time.
Vuba Stone is a low-maintenance surface, but to keep it looking its best, we recommend removing dirt and debris regularly and pressure washing the area. Additionally, every five years, applying a reseal will help rejuvenate and enhance the appearance and durability of the surface.
